Jobs for Overseas Visitors Including Backpackers & Transients

Limitations on length of employment apply to non-citizens and non-residents who work in the hotel industry.  These limitations will be governed by the type of entry visa held by the employee, and these conditions vary from time to time and can be checked through the (Commonwealth) Department of Immigration and Citizenship website at www.immi.gov.au. 

Despite these limitations, hotel owners and managers welcome applications for employment from non-residents travelling and/or residing temporarily in Australia, such as backpackers, because the track record of these types of employees is sound.
