For the sixth consecutive year, the Queensland Hotels Association in conjunction with the Hospitality Training Association Inc (HTA) will offer an Industry Scholarship for the Diploma of Hospitality Management, commencing in January 2009.
The 2009 Industry Scholarship Program provides recipients with the opportunity to gain a head start in a career in the hospitality industry.
Scholarship recipients are awarded a formal hospitality qualification delivered by the industry’s leader in training, employment and recruitment: The Hospitality Training Association Inc.
Commencing January 2009, the Diploma of Hospitality Management is valued at $18,000 and encompasses a combination of practical and theoretical elements.
In addition to paid internships, the Scholarship includes all tuition fees, textbooks, uniforms and tools of trade (knives etc).
Following successful completion of the Diploma and appropriate experience, the program will facilitate progression to managerial level positions in hospitality and tourism organizations worldwide.
