This course is designed to equip hospitality employers with the knowledge and practical skills for effectively hiring staff. The course also addresses the strict legislation regarding how discipline and termination issues are to be resolved.

Constant concern of members in relation to dealing with staff on disciplinary matters has made this course a necessity.

The course runs for approximately 2.5 hours and offers attendees a complete overview of recruitment, discipline and termination processes, including:

  • Reviewing proven recruitment strategies
  • Developing effective recruitment techniques suitable to your operation.
  • Reviewing case studies, practical examples.
  • Developing an understanding of legislative requirements of discipline and termination for employers.
  • Reviewing precedent case law.
  • Learning proactive employer approaches effective dispute resolution.
  • Developing set procedures for supervisors / management to follow.
  • Developing an understanding of Industrial Relations Commission processes.

COST: 

- $825 (inc GST) per in-house session for QHA members including Corporate Members and Partners
- $1,237.50 (inc GST) per in-house session for non members
